AutoCad Outsourcing - AutoCAD Conversion
Often drawings – especially record drawings, will be sent through to you as PDF’s, GIF’s, Jpeg’s or even hard copies.
Most of the time you will need these as AutoCAD drawings, to allow you to measure, or edit. In order to do this you will need to convert the drawings from their source file into a workable, layered AutoCAD Drawings. We can reproduce drawings you may have in either Micro station, PDF, GIF, Jpeg or as a hard copy in.
CAD Outsource can convert any of the following file types by using vectorisation software. These will produce drawings in autoCAD format for you.

- Microstation
- TIFF
- Paper to CAD
The vectorisation process can take the form of 3 different grades, these are:
Low Detail – This uses the latest in vectorisation software to reproduce the file into a CAD format, however each line will be a tiny dot this is a low detailed conversion.
Medium Detail – In this service we will provide you with a hybrid conversion, this uses the vectorisation software used in the low detail service, however we manually trace text, and tidy the drawing up placing objects on separate layers.
High Detail – This process involves a manual trace of the drawing, we will individually draw each drawing in AutoCAD for the highest possible level of detail.
The processes above can be quite time consuming depending upon the level of detail, size and complexity of the drawings, we therefore price on the level of detail you require which is shown below
- Low Detail - £12 per hour
- Medium Detail - £13 per hour
- High Detail - £15 per hour
plus an additional cost for any prints you may require. By introducing an outsourced AutoCAD Company to reproduce drawings will allow your CAD department to work on more pressing matters.
